Columbus, Ohio Health Insurance
A friend referred me to Columbus Health Insurance, and boy was I glad he did! The site lets you compare multiple plans from all the carriers in Ohio. I was pleasantly surprised when a Health Insurance Agent called to see if I had any questions. Trying to decipher all the insurance terms like deductible, coinsurance and copay was confusing, but the agent clearly explained what these mean and helped me pick the plan that best fit my needs -- and for the best price!
Being self-employed, I selected an HSA 100 plan from United Health One. My annual physical is covered 100% after I pay a $35 Copay, and once I meet my annual deductible all remaining expenses are covered 100%. I opened a Health Savings Account which I can use to pay for any qualified medical expenses. Any contributions I make can be deducted on my income tax return. It's comforting to know that I'm protected in the event that a major medical situation happens. I was also excited to get United Dental Insurance as well.
